A departure from my usual farm and logging road riding, this loop offered a lot more city riding along with bridges and islands I had never visited on bike.

I was impressed with the 520 bridge’s pedestrian and bike lane. It was wide, clean, and felt very safe. This is how all bridges should be constructed and I would be less apprehensive crossing the Hood Canal Bridge if the same care for cyclists had been taken.

This was such a departure from my normal riding I failed to take too many photos, mostly deferring to a few candids while back on the ferry.

I’m happy I rode this route but equally happy I have so many quiet roads nearby to ride.
