Chriesiwanderung (Walchwil to Zug)
Walk across the eastern shore of Lake Zug connects the centuries-old cherry and chestnut cultivations of Zug and Walchwil
By the Numbers
We were looking for a simple walk in the unpredictable April weather and decided on a walk above the Lake Zug and through woods.
We followed a section of a route published by Zug Tourism, choosing a shorter route given the weather conditions.
The walk is easy to follow as it gently wanders by farms and through woods & cities. It was a walk which certainly reminded us of Bainbridge at times.
We arrived in Zug and found ourselves at an exotic bird center with several species of owls! Totally unexpected and quite enjoyable.
Overall it was a very pleasant walk and an area I look to forward to cycling in the future.
